Fatal Rapid City car crash death of Rogelio Barrientos Jr.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol confirmed the identity of the individual who lost their life in the accident. Officials stated that the 53-year-old Barrientos was approximately 8 miles from Rapid City when the incident took place.

The fatal collision occurred on Highway 44. According to reports, a deer unexpectedly crossed the road. Barrientos was unable to swerve in time and struck the animal directly at 5:19 p.m.

Emergency services transported the injured motorcyclist to a hospital. Despite medical efforts, Rogelio Barrientos Jr. passed away the following day, on Sunday morning.
