Law enforcement in Roanoke confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist who lost their life in a serious incident last week. Details surrounding the accident indicate the fatality occurred in September. The involved parties were a truck driver and the deceased motorcyclist. Officials announced Boston’s death at a hospital after he was transported there following the collision.

The Roanoke Police Department explained that officers arrived at the scene at approximately 5:34 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17th, to address a report of a collision. The man riding the motorcycle was identified as Leslie Scott Boston Jr., a resident of Roanoke. Hospital personnel reported that despite medical efforts, Boston succumbed to his injuries.

Further investigation revealed the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was involved in the accident. The driver of this vehicle was seen pulling out of a parking area located on Melrose Avenue NW, specifically in the 4800 block, when the incident began. This driver remained at the scene and actively assisted investigators.

According to authorities, Leslie Scott Boston Jr. was operating a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. Reports stated that the motorcyclist was moving eastbound at a notably fast pace when the collision with the Silverado happened. The driver of the Silverado fully cooperated throughout the ongoing police inquiry.
