Fatal Mudgett Township, Minnesota car crash death of Rachael Marie Morey
Mille Lacs County authorities reported a tragic incident involving two vehicles and a semi-trailer, resulting in the death of a woman. The collision occurred shortly before dawn on Thursday morning at the intersection of 280th Street and 100th Avenue. Emergency responders arrived to find a severely damaged Toyota Camry engulfed in flames and another vehicle, a Lincoln Navigator, also suffering extensive harm.
Officials confirmed that the individual driving the Toyota Camry at the time of the incident was identified as Rachael Marie Morey from Rush City, Minnesota, and she did not survive the event. A man, later confirmed to be Timothy Boros from Little Falls, Minnesota, was spotted being carefully assisted from the Lincoln Navigator by concerned bystanders. Tragically, the Lincoln Navigator ignited shortly after the rescue attempt began.
According to reports from the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, three courageous individuals witnessed the accident and immediately provided aid. Utilizing tools including a saw and fire extinguishers from their personal trucks, these Samaritans attempted to rescue Boros from the burning vehicle. Their decisive actions, which included breaching the car’s driver-side door, were crucial in preventing further loss of life.
The involved semi-truck suffered only minor damage, and one of the rescuers, who was also driving the truck, remained uninjured. Both agencies, the sheriff’s office and the Minnesota State Patrol, are conducting a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate accident.
