Fatal stabbing death of Amatrian Hawkins in Cobb County, Ga.

According to local authorities, a stabbing occurred at the Budgetel Inn & Suites located at 4900 Circle 75 Parkway. This location had previously been the scene of a fatal shooting incident involving a female infant several days earlier. Upon arrival at the medical facility, one of the female victims, identified as 45-year-old Amatrian Hawkins, was pronounced deceased. The other female involved, whose condition was described as stable, suffered a serious injury to her right hand.

Law enforcement officials identified 46-year-old Frank Moore as the individual responsible for the stabbing. The suspect managed to flee the scene before being apprehended by officers from the Atlanta Police Department. Moore was subsequently charged with felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and a charge related to his possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of the violent act. Investigators confirmed that the current stabbing incident is entirely unrelated to the earlier fatal shooting at the same motel.
