Fatal Dallas shooting death of Raushaun Kirkland

DALLAS – Dallas authorities reported a fatal incident involving gunfire in the southern part of the city. The victim, identified as Raushaun Kirkland, was pronounced dead at the hospital following emergency transport.

According to official reports, responding officers arrived at the scene around 1:00 AM on Saturday after being dispatched due to a disturbance involving firearms. The shooting occurred in the vicinity of the 2800 block of Twyman Avenue.

Police records indicate that Kirkland sustained a gunshot wound and was treated by emergency medical services before being transported to a medical facility. Despite the prompt medical attention, he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Metropolitan Police Division confirmed that the identity of the suspected shooter remains unknown at this time. The ongoing investigation is currently being handled by the Dallas Police Department’s internal team.
