Rodbel Alejandro Virula dies in fatal Las Vegas car crash

Fatal Las Vegas car crash death of Rodbel Alejandro Virula

Nevada State Police reported a fatal collision on I-15, occurring shortly after 10 p.m. on September 17th, located south of Speedway Boulevard. The accident involved a semitruck and its accompanying trailer moving northbound on the highway. A hatchback vehicle, which had come to a stop on the road, was struck from behind by the semitruck and subsequently turned over onto its side.

The semitruck’s driver received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the impacted hatchback, identified as 31-year-old Rodbel Alejandro Virula from Wallingford, Connecticut, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Las Vegas Highway Patrol confirmed they are investigating a total of 45 fatal crashes that resulted in 46 deaths within the state of Nevada so far in 2025.
