Houston’s police force is examining a lethal vehicle mishap in the Meta Street region, specifically the 8700 block, which took place around 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.

The person who passed away was a 68-year-old woman, officially identified as Merlean Ratcliff.

From the report given by Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Hudson of the Vehicular Crimes Division: A female occupant was behind the wheel of a go-kart when the machine turned over and landed in a ditch at that exact spot. The driver was located underneath the cart upon arrival. Emergency medical technicians moved her to a local hospital, but she was ultimately pronounced dead there.

No other automobiles or people were connected to this occurrence.

The preliminary probe continues.
