Fatal Birmingham shooting death of Xavier Brandon Clark

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Following a fatal shooting on Thursday evening, a man has been confirmed dead in Birmingham. The incident occurred near the Legion Field area.

According to Birmingham Police, officers were sent to the 1100 block of Graymont Avenue West shortly after 11:30 p.m. due to an alert from a Shot Spotter system.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered 28-year-old Xavier Brandon Clark, from Birmingham, unresponsive within a car parked in a residence’s driveway. Tragically, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue services.

Further investigation revealed that the Shot Spotter system had registered multiple gunfire discharges in the vicinity.

On Friday morning, two automobiles were removed from the location. These vehicles were taken from the scene of the homicide on Graymont Avenue in Birmingham.

Birmingham Police have stated that the shooting took place in a densely populated region. They are actively encouraging any potential witnesses or individuals with available surveillance video to provide information by contacting them at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

At the present time, no suspect is being held in connection with this incident.
