Fatal Dickinson car crash death of Jason Bird
The North Dakota Highway Patrol announced identification of the man killed in a serious collision southwest of Dickinson.
A patrol statement stated that Jason Bird, who was 44 years old and from South Heart, was found deceased around 11:03 p.m. on Thursday, October 30. A person passing by observed a severely damaged 2002 Ford F-150 submerged in a ditch near the intersection of 48th Street Southwest and 122nd Avenue Southwest.
The precise moment the crash happened remains unknown according to the patrol’s release.
Initial examination revealed the truck was going north on 122nd Avenue Southwest at an undetermined speed, it lost control, went into the ditch, and overturned.
Officials noted Bird was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries.
The Dickinson Ambulance, Dickinson Rural Fire Department, and the Stark County Sheriff’s Office were among the agencies that reacted to the crash scene.
