Fatal Washington, D.C. shooting death of Junior Almozard – Obituary
Junior Almozard, 49, of Northeast Washington, D.C., was fatally shot over the weekend in an alley, authorities confirmed.
D.C. police responded shortly before 6:30 p.m. on December 27 to the 4400 block of Jay Street Northeast after reports of a shooting. Officers found Almozard at the scene with gunshot injuries. Emergency medical personnel transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident and seeking information to identify a suspect. Authorities are asking anyone with knowledge of the shooting to submit tips by texting 50411 or calling 202-727-9099. The Metropolitan Police Department has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
