Armanti Rice-Richmond, 21, of Winnsboro, was identified as the person who lost his life following a vehicle crash on Christmas Eve in Fairfield County, South Carolina. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m., according to officials.

The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Rice-Richmond was riding in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced him deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the wreck.

Authorities said the incident remains under active investigation. The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office is working alongside the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) to determine the circumstances that led to the deadly crash.
