Robin Dieringer, 48, was identified as the pedestrian who lost her life after being struck by a vehicle in Milwaukee on Dec. 26. Authorities believe the driver involved in the crash may have been impaired at the time of the incident.
According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dieringer was walking when she was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 4100 block of West Townsend Avenue, just east of Fond Du Lac Avenue. She later died from the injuries she sustained in the collision.
Police reported that the driver was taken into custody at the scene. Investigators forwarded potential charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office, though as of the latest court records, no formal charges have been filed. The investigation into the deadly crash remains ongoing.
