Fatal Washington, D.C. shooting death of Christopher Rashad Riles – Obituary
Christopher Rashad Riles, 32, was fatally shot on May 17 in Southwest Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Irvington Street SW. Officers found Riles unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds and transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
On December 30, authorities charged 19-year-old Royale McGlenn Jr. with first-degree murder in connection with Riles’ death. McGlenn was already in custody at the time of the charge and was returned to the custody of the D.C. Department of Corrections. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
