Fatal Greensboro, North Carolina motorcycle crash death of David Robert Cook – Obituary
David Robert Cook, 37, of Jamestown, North Carolina, died after a collision involving his motorcycle and a vehicle on New Year’s Day, Greensboro Police reported.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 4:14 p.m. on the 800 block of Guilford College Road. Cook was riding a 2025 Ducati Panigale V2 southbound when a 2019 Nissan Rogue, driven by 44-year-old Titus Quentin Foxx of Greensboro, attempted to turn left from a parking lot to head north. The vehicle struck Cook, who was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Foxx and a passenger in his vehicle were unharmed. Police have charged Foxx with misdemeanor death by vehicle, failure to yield to a motorcycle causing serious injury or death, driving while license revoked, and possessing an open container.
The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident. Guilford College Road was closed between Interstate 40 and Sapp Road for nearly four hours as authorities conducted their investigation.
