A tragic incident on Christmas Eve in Castle Rock Township claimed the life of 26-year-old Tatianna M. Ehnes-Giles. Ehnes-Giles, who shared two children with her boyfriend, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head at their home, authorities reported.

The suspect, 29-year-old Demarco M. Jones, was also injured in the shooting and later taken into custody, with bail set at $2 million. The couple’s children were present in the home when the shooting occurred. According to investigators, one child ran downstairs for help, prompting Ehnes-Giles’ mother and brother to respond. They discovered Jones injured and Ehnes-Giles deceased.

Jones initially claimed that both he and Ehnes-Giles had shot each other, later stating he had shot himself. Ehnes-Giles, a longtime server at Buckboard Restaurant in Lakeville, was remembered as a devoted mother who cherished family gatherings and celebrations. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly domestic incident.
