Fatal East Los Angeles shooting death of Ricardo Manuel Perez-Montalvan – Obituary

Ricardo Manuel Perez-Montalvan, a 31-year-old man, was identified as the victim who was killed in a shooting that took place Tuesday night in East Los Angeles, authorities confirmed.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies from the East Los Angeles Station were dispatched around 8:15 p.m. to the 4700 block of Telegraph Road, just west of Arizona Avenue, after receiving reports of gunfire. When deputies arrived, they discovered four adult men inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

Investigators determined that the victims had been sitting in the vehicle when multiple suspects approached and opened fire. After the shooting, the suspects fled the area in a vehicle traveling northbound on Arizona Avenue.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced Perez-Montalvan dead at the scene. The remaining three victims were transported to a hospital, where one was listed in stable condition and the other two were reported to be in critical condition.

The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner officially identified Perez-Montalvan as the deceased victim on Wednesday.

The shooting remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau or provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
