Fatal Northeast Philadelphia shooting death of Quadir Tull – Obituary

A deadly shooting on New Year’s Day in Northeast Philadelphia claimed the life of 21-year-old Quadir Tull, who was one of the victims involved in a violent confrontation. Tull, who was involved in a shootout with 52-year-old Luis Colon and two other suspects, was pronounced dead later that morning.

The incident took place around 11:15 a.m. on the 7100 block of Oakland Street. Authorities report that Tull and his accomplice, Tyriq Williams, went to Colon’s home to initiate a confrontation with Colon’s stepdaughter. The suspects are believed to be connected to the stepdaughter’s ex-boyfriend. Upon arrival, Williams-Reeves and Tull reportedly began assaulting Colon’s wife and stepdaughter on the front lawn.

When Colon intervened, Tull and Williams pushed him aside, and a violent exchange of gunfire broke out. Colon fired back, leading to a shootout between the three men. After the confrontation, the suspects fled in a dark-colored Chrysler 300. The vehicle later arrived at Temple University Hospital, where Tull was confirmed to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at 11:52 a.m.

Tyriq Williams was treated for a gunshot wound to the hand and is reportedly in stable condition.
