Portland, Oregon Man Christopher Woods Arrested in Multnomah County for Stabbing and Robbery

PORTLAND, OREGON — Christopher Woods, a 51-year-old resident of Portland, was arrested in Multnomah County in connection with a stabbing and robbery that occurred at a local grocery store on New Year’s Day.

According to the Portland Police Department, Woods was taken into custody on Thursday morning following an incident at a Safeway store on Southeast 122nd Avenue. Authorities say the attack took place on New Year’s Day inside the store’s restroom, where a 77-year-old man was robbed and stabbed.

The victim was transported to a hospital with serious knife wounds and is expected to survive. Woods was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center and is currently facing charges related to the incident, including first-degree assault and first-degree robbery.
