Fatal Greer, South Carolina shooting death of Jonathan Gilbert Kraemer – Obituary

Jonathan Gilbert Kraemer, 25, of Lyman, South Carolina, was killed early Friday morning in a shooting in Greer, authorities reported. The incident occurred around 2:18 a.m. near Blue Ridge Brewing Company on Trade Street.

Greer Police and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found Kraemer with at least one gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted.

A second individual sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body during the incident. That person was treated at a nearby hospital and has since been released.
