Fatal Morgan County, Alabama car crash death of Alabert S. Anano Jr. – Obituary

Alabert S. Anano Jr., a 52-year-old man from Danville, was killed Sunday night following a single-vehicle accident in Morgan County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Authorities said Anano was driving a 2000 Mercedes E320 when the vehicle left the roadway along South Danville Road near Hunter Road, about five miles southeast of Danville. Investigators reported that the car struck a ditch and a culvert before rolling over multiple times.

ALEA stated that Anano was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

A 14-year-old passenger who was also inside the Mercedes suffered injuries in the crash and was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The collision occurred at approximately 9:27 p.m. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division said the incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
