Matthew Viramontes dies in fatal Mesa, Arizona wrong-way crash

Fatal Mesa, Arizona wrong-way crash death of Matthew Viramontes – Obituary

Matthew Viramontes, 25, was killed in a deadly collision on the Loop 202 Red Mountain in Mesa, Arizona, on December 27, authorities reported.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Viramontes was driving a 2019 Kia Sorrento westbound in the eastbound lanes around 2:30 a.m. near McDowell Road when he struck a 2003 Toyota Corolla Matrix. The impact caused both vehicles to ignite in flames.

The crash also claimed the lives of the Corolla Matrix driver, Isaac Reed, 18, and passenger Adrian Fajardo, 18. Families of Reed and Fajardo have launched GoFundMe campaigns to help with funeral expenses. Authorities have not released information about any additional injuries.
