Fatal Portland motorcycle crash death of Stephen W. Hicks – Obituary

Stephen W. Hicks, 66, of Portland, died last Friday after a collision involving his mini-motorcycle and an e-scooter. The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Tibbetts Street.

According to investigators, Hicks was traveling north in the northbound bike lane on his gas-powered mini-motorcycle when he collided with an e-scooter rider coming from the opposite direction. Both individuals were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, and authorities say there is no indication that impairment contributed to the incident.
