Fatal Shreveport, Louisiana car crash death of Terrance Pope – Obituary

Terrance Pope, a 34-year-old man from DeSoto Street, Shreveport, Louisiana, was killed early Monday morning in a collision with a parked 18-wheeler on Midway Avenue, authorities confirmed.

The crash occurred just before 1:45 a.m., with Pope’s Chrysler striking the rear of the trailer, which was facing east in the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene at 2:02 a.m. The reason the truck was in that location is still under investigation.

Pope is Shreveport’s third traffic fatality this year, following Geri Babin, who was hit while crossing Kings Highway on December 24, and Jimmie Frank Haynes, who died in a separate crash on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The Shreveport Police Department continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to contact the Crash Investigation Unit.
