Fresno County, California Man Lazaro Hernandez Arrested in Fresno County for Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence
FRESNO COUNTY, CALIF. — Lazaro Hernandez, a 21-year-old resident of Clovis, was arrested in Fresno County in connection with a fatal traffic collision that killed two people.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Hernandez was taken into custody on Friday following a head-on crash that occurred Friday morning on Auberry Road north of Fresno. Authorities say the incident happened when a Dodge Durango driven by Hernandez crossed into oncoming lanes and collided with a vehicle occupied by Ted Amber, 87, and Sharon Amber, 86, both of Clovis. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hernandez was transported to a Fresno County detention facility and is currently facing two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence related to the incident.
