Fatal Winston-Salem pedestrian accident death of Sarah Jane Robinson – Obituary

Sarah Jane Robinson, 65, of Winston-Salem, was killed Friday evening after being struck by a vehicle on New Walkertown Road. The collision occurred around 8:33 p.m. on January 30, 2026, when Robinson was walking west in the westbound lanes and was hit by a 2006 Dodge Ram driven by 43-year-old Khalil Porter.

Officers arriving at the scene pronounced Robinson deceased. The Winston-Salem Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is leading the investigation, and her next-of-kin have been notified.
