Fatal Channelview, Texas motel shooting death of Jorge Gonzalez – Obituary

Jorge Gonzalez, a 33-year-old man, was fatally shot Wednesday at a motel in Channelview, Texas, authorities reported.

Harris County deputies discovered Gonzalez deceased in a motel room along the East Freeway near Sheldon Road while serving a separate warrant. Investigators found that Gonzalez had been staying in the room with three other individuals, and an altercation occurred that led to him being shot.

Two suspects, Joseph Plattenburg and Jordyn Wells, have been charged with murder in connection with Gonzalez’s death. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the shooting stemmed from a dispute over money owed to the suspects. Both Plattenburg and Wells are being held at the Harris County Jail.

The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting remains ongoing.
