Fatal Jefferson County, Alabama car crash death of Robby S. Isbell – Obituary

Robby S. Isbell, a 38-year-old man from Pell City, died following a traffic crash that occurred Friday, Jan. 30, in Jefferson County, Alabama, according to state authorities.

Alabama State Troopers said Isbell was driving a truck on Interstate 20 near the 140-mile marker close to the Leeds city limits when the vehicle left the roadway. The truck entered a ditch and overturned, causing Isbell to be ejected from the vehicle.

Officials reported that Isbell was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He sustained severe injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later died.

A passenger who was also inside the truck was injured in the crash and taken to UAB for medical treatment. No further details were released about that individual’s condition.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
