Fatal Harold, Kentucky house fire death of Juanita Hall – Obituary

Juanita Hall, a 79-year-old homeowner, was killed Friday night after a fire broke out at her residence in Harold, Kentucky, authorities confirmed. The blaze occurred at a home along KY Route 979 and prompted an emergency response from local firefighters.

Members of the Mud Creek Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene around 10:30 p.m. on January 30 after reports of a structure fire. When crews arrived, they were informed that someone was believed to be trapped inside the home, leading to additional assistance being requested from sheriff’s deputies.

Once the fire was brought under control, investigators determined that Hall had died inside the residence. Officials also reported that another individual was injured during the incident and was taken to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released. The incident remains under investigation by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, the Floyd County Coroner’s Office, and the Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the deadly fire.
