Fatal Gallatin County car crash death of Danny Lake – Obituary

Danny Lake, a 73-year-old resident of Gallatin Gateway, lost his life Sunday afternoon in a multi-vehicle collision at a rural intersection in Gallatin County.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the crossing of Valley Center Road and Harper Puckett Road. Investigators say a 43-year-old woman from Belgrade was driving a Jeep Cherokee south on Harper Puckett Road when she failed to stop at a posted stop sign.

The Jeep Cherokee entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound Jeep Grand Wagoneer driven by Lake. The impact resulted in a three-vehicle crash, authorities said.

Emergency crews transported three other people involved in the collision to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Details about their conditions have not been released.

The Montana Highway Patrol continues to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
