Elton Richardson dies in fatal Knox County homicide

Fatal Knox County homicide death of Elton Richardson – Obituary

Elton Richardson, 44, of Knox County, was killed in a violent incident in Ten Mile, authorities reported.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Richardson was fatally shot and stabbed on the night of Jan. 25. According to court records, 27-year-old Zackary Edward Lowe drove to Richardson’s home on Decatur Highway, shot him while he was in the yard, then exited his vehicle and stabbed him multiple times. Richardson was later found deceased in the yard by the Roane County Sheriff’s Office.

Lowe reportedly contacted the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 27 to confess to the homicide, and a TBI agent documented his statement. Lowe was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He remains in the Roane County Jail without bond as the investigation continues.
