Rodney Parker dies in fatal Shively shooting

Fatal Shively shooting death of Rodney Parker – Obituary

Rodney Parker, 26, was killed early Sunday morning in a targeted shooting outside Club 7 on 7th Street Road in Shively, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Shively Police said they were called to the scene around 3:20 a.m. on Feb. 2, where they found Parker and another man who had both been shot. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim, believed to be in his 30s, was hospitalized and is expected to survive.

Authorities indicated the incident was deliberate and posed no ongoing threat to the public. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 502-448-6181, or to provide tips anonymously at 502-930-2SPD.
