Fatal Bensalem car crash death of Timur Khabelov – Obituary

Timur Khabelov, 44, of Brooklyn, New York, was killed early Tuesday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on the interchange to I-95 at Street Road in Bensalem, authorities reported.

Police said first responders arrived at the scene around midnight to find a silver 2013 Chevrolet Sonic fully engulfed in flames. Khabelov, who had been ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men, aged 43 and 39, were trapped inside the burning car but were rescued and hospitalized in critical condition.

Investigators indicated that the Chevrolet Sonic was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Street Road and ran a red light before colliding with a Dodge Journey exiting the highway toward westbound Street Road. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
