Daniel Schandorff, 48, lost his life following a late-night traffic collision involving a van and a semi-truck in Rochester, Minnesota. The crash occurred Thursday evening along Highway 63 and resulted in Schandorff being rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 9:45 p.m. as both vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 63. Near the intersection of 80th Street Southeast, the van and the semi-truck came into contact under circumstances that have not yet been explained by investigators.

Authorities confirmed that Schandorff was driving the van at the time of the collision and was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the semi-truck, a 55-year-old man, was not hurt in the crash.

Officials have not released further details regarding what caused the vehicles to collide. The Minnesota State Patrol continues to review the incident as part of its ongoing investigation.
