Denise Babyak dies in fatal New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania car crash
Fatal New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania car crash death of Denise Babyak – Obituary
Denise Babyak, a 68-year-old resident of Harmony Township in Beaver County, lost her life Friday evening following a deadly two-vehicle collision in New Sewickley Township. The crash happened around 6:18 p.m. along Freedom Crider Road.
According to information released by the New Sewickley Township Police Department, Babyak was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash did not suffer any injuries.
Police Chief Gregory Carney stated that early findings suggest Babyak was traveling west in the 1200 block of Freedom Crider Road when her vehicle drifted into the eastbound lane. Her car then struck an oncoming vehicle head-on. Investigators have indicated that neither weather nor roadway conditions appear to have contributed to the crash.
Authorities remained on scene for several hours conducting their investigation. Freedom Crider Road was shut down between State Route 989 and Lovi Road for roughly three hours before reopening to traffic. The New Sewickley Township Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
