Authorities have confirmed that Sylvia Lux, 49, of Canyon Country, was one of two people killed in a late-night two-vehicle collision at a Santa Clarita intersection. The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the crossing of Newhall Ranch Road and Bouquet Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies arriving at the scene found several individuals injured, with one victim pronounced dead at the location. That victim was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as Sylvia Lux.

Emergency crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department transported additional injured parties to a nearby hospital. One of those patients later died from their injuries, though officials said identification and notification of next of kin were still underway as of Monday.

The intersection remained shut down for several hours while investigators documented the scene and gathered evidence. Law enforcement officials stated that the circumstances leading up to the collision were still being reviewed, and the cause of the crash had not yet been determined.
