El Paso authorities have identified the woman killed in an early-morning pedestrian accident over the weekend as 37-year-old Erica Suann Garcia. The crash occurred at 2:09 a.m. on the 2300 block of Tim Foster Drive when a 2025 Kia K4 traveling south struck Garcia as she crossed the street outside a crosswalk or controlled intersection.

Garcia was transported to a hospital but later died from her injuries. This incident marks the eighth traffic fatality in El Paso so far this year, compared with six at the same point in 2025. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
