Fatal Spartanburg County, South Carolina crash death of Steve Joseph Munson – Obituary

Steve Joseph Munson, 19, of Leesville, South Carolina, was killed late Sunday in a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The crash occurred when Munson, riding a 2009 Kawasaki south on North Church Street, collided with a 2015 Cadillac SUV that was turning left onto Dakota Street. After the impact, the motorcycle left the roadway, struck a guy wire, and caught fire.

The Spartanburg County Coroner responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m. and confirmed Munson’s death. Officials reported that the SUV driver was not injured. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
