Fatal Richmond County, Georgia pedestrian crash death of Kimberly Drayton – Obituary

Kimberly Drayton, 51, was killed Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Deans Bridge Road in Richmond County, Georgia. Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded around 8:01 p.m. to the intersection with Parwood Road, where they found Drayton unresponsive in the grass median. Emergency personnel and the coroner arrived at the scene, but she was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not yet released information about the driver involved or whether charges will be filed, and the investigation is ongoing. Drayton, who was reported to be homeless, is remembered by friends and family for her love of dancing and vibrant personality. An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm the cause of death.
