Fatal Austin crash death of Javan O Jackson – Obituary

Javan O Jackson, 20, died Sunday night after a motorcycle crash in northeast Austin following an attempted traffic stop by Texas state troopers, authorities reported.

Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety tried to pull over Jackson near Parmer Lane and Old Highway 20 around 8:11 p.m. for speeding. The rider fled, and officers ended the pursuit shortly after losing sight of him.

Approximately five minutes later, the crashed motorcycle was found. Jackson was discovered nearby, and troopers administered life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 9 p.m.

Officials from the Manor Police Department and Austin Police Department assisted at the scene, and Austin police are leading the investigation into the crash.
