Fatal Delaware Townsend crash death of Laura Thomas – Obituary
Laura Thomas, 69, of Magnolia, Delaware, lost her life late on February 8 in a two-vehicle collision near Townsend. Thomas was riding as a front-seat passenger in a Toyota Sienna traveling north on Dupont Parkway when the vehicle attempted a left turn onto Summit Bridge Road.
Police reported that the Toyota turned into the path of a southbound Nissan Altima, resulting in a collision. Thomas was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Toyota, a 43-year-old woman from Dover, and three other passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at local hospitals. The Nissan driver, a 50-year-old man from Townsend, suffered serious injuries and was also hospitalized.
