Fatal Honoka’a, Hawaii ATV crash death of Kasey Hui-Asham – Obituary

Police on Hawaii Island have identified Kasey Hui-Asham, 41, of Honoka’a, as the man who lost his life in a single-vehicle ATV accident late Saturday night.

The crash happened around 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, along Mud Lane in Honoka’a. Authorities said Hui-Asham was operating a Honda four-wheel all-terrain vehicle while pulling a trailer and traveling northbound when he lost control of the ATV.

Investigators reported that the ATV overturned, ejecting Hui-Asham and trapping him beneath the vehicle. Emergency responders found him unresponsive at the scene, and he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. Police stated that, based on initial findings, speed, alcohol, and drugs are not believed to have contributed to the crash.
