Fatal Tyler road rage shooting death of Trevor Julian – Obituary

A road rage confrontation in Tyler on Friday night claimed the life of Trevor Julian, a 29-year-old Whitehouse resident and former Marine, authorities said.

Police reported that Julian was transported to a local hospital after being shot but later died from his injuries. He was known as a graduate of Carthage High School and had previously served in the U.S. Marines.

Officers arrested Dayton Alexander Morgan, 23, of Ben Wheeler, in connection with the incident. He faces a first-degree murder charge.

According to investigators, the encounter happened at the intersection of Grande Avenue and Paluxy Drive. Julian had exited his white Tesla and walked toward Morgan’s white Ram pickup. During the confrontation, Morgan fired a gun from inside his truck, and the bullet struck Julian in the neck.

Authorities said Morgan stayed at the location and was taken into custody without incident. Police also stated that their investigation found no indication that Julian had a weapon when he approached the pickup.
