Fatal Ravenel, S.C. motorcycle crash death of Michael Goheen – Obituary

A motorcycle accident on Thursday evening in Ravenel claimed the life of 64-year-old Michael Goheen, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal confirmed that Goheen, a Ravenel resident, died at the location of the crash.

The incident happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Hyde Park Road. Deputies from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office arrived after receiving reports about a motorcycle that had overturned.

Early findings from investigators indicate that Goheen was riding when his motorcycle collided with a deer that was in the road. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, leading to fatal injuries. Authorities said he was alone on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
