Fatal Baton Rouge shooting death of Joshua Young – Obituary

Joshua Young, 43, was killed Sunday evening along Goodwood Boulevard in Baton Rouge, while a woman sustained injuries in the same incident.

Authorities reported that Young had been involved in a hit-and-run situation and pursued the driver to the 13400 block of Goodwood Boulevard near South Flannery Road. Once there, the confrontation escalated into gunfire. Officers arriving on the scene found Young deceased in the grass, while the female victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
