Fatal Evergreen, Alabama shooting death of Melvontaie Loveless – Obituary
A shooting in Evergreen early Sunday morning left one person dead and several others injured, according to the Conecuh County Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on March 8 in the 100 block of West Front Street. Responding officers found 19-year-old Melvontaie Loveless of Greenville, Alabama, who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple agencies, including the Evergreen Police Department, the Conecuh County Sheriff’s Office, and the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation, responded to the scene. Loveless’ body is being transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Mobile for examination.
Authorities say the case remains under active investigation, and details regarding the other individuals who were shot have not yet been released.
