Adam Bean dies in fatal Hope Mills shooting

Fatal Hope Mills shooting death of Adam Bean – Obituary

Adam Bean, an off-duty law enforcement officer, was shot and killed Friday night at a home on Seattle Slew Lane in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Cumberland County deputies responded just before 11 p.m. to reports of a domestic disturbance between two off-duty officers.

When deputies arrived, they found Bean with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the incident was not random and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The circumstances remain under investigation with assistance from the State Bureau of Investigation.
