Fatal West Philadelphia shooting death of Paul Cobb and Naasir Boyd – Obituary

Police have identified 24-year-olds Paul Cobb and Naasir Boyd, both of Philadelphia, as the victims who lost their lives in a drive-by shooting in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood.

The violence unfolded সোমবার night around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of 60th and Delancey streets. Authorities say a masked individual inside a white vehicle opened fire on a group gathered near the corner before fleeing the area.

Cobb and Boyd were struck in the chest and transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where both were pronounced dead.

Three additional individuals were injured in the shooting. A 36-year-old man remains in critical condition after being shot in the stomach, while two others, ages 54 and 35, suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and are reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting. The area was secured as police collected evidence, which indicated multiple rounds were fired. Detectives are now seeking surveillance footage and asking anyone with information about the suspect vehicle or shooter to come forward.
