Fatal Hickman County crash death of Joshua Watson, Shranda Milan, and Krista Whitt – Obituary

Authorities have identified three individuals who lost their lives after a vehicle plunged into the Mississippi River in Hickman County.

The victims were named as 42-year-old Joshua Watson of Louisville, 38-year-old Shranda Milan of Wingo, and 30-year-old Krista Whitt of Paducah.

According to the Hickman County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred Saturday night at the Ingram Barge facility along the riverfront in Columbus. Employees at the site reported hearing the impact and alerted emergency dispatch after discovering evidence that a vehicle had struck a ramp and entered the water.

Rescue efforts followed, with a diver from McCracken County Emergency Management locating the submerged vehicle and securing it so it could be pulled from the river. Once recovered, authorities confirmed that all three occupants were inside.

Officials say the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under active investigation.
