Authorities have identified the man who lost his life in a workplace accident involving a crane at a Los Angeles County Public Works site in Lancaster. The victim, Victor Cepeda, was 33 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.
The incident occurred বুধবার at approximately 10:35 a.m. at a facility located on East Avenue K-8, just east of Market Place. Officials reported that a crane collapsed within the work area, leading to Cepeda’s death.
Emergency crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded after receiving reports of a medical emergency. However, no individuals were transported to a hospital, and Cepeda was pronounced dead at the scene inside a warehouse.
Details surrounding the malfunction remain unclear, as investigators from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health continue to examine what caused the equipment failure. The case is still under active investigation.
