Authorities have identified Shiceria Polk, 39, as the woman who lost her life in a single-vehicle crash in Fort Worth that also left two young children hospitalized.

The crash occurred shortly after midnight on March 30 along the 13300 block of North Freeway. According to police, Polk was driving a silver Buick when the vehicle veered off the roadway, crossed a grassy median, and continued toward a bridge near Westport Parkway.

Investigators say the car went over a barrier, dropped onto the roadway below, and struck another wall. Polk suffered fatal blunt force injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene around 12:40 a.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Two children, described as an infant and a toddler, were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and were transported to a hospital. Officials have not released updates on their conditions or clarified their relationship to Polk.

The incident remains under investigation.
